Under the partnership, Cycle & Carriage, will become the exclusive distributor of Gogoro's models throughout Singapore. It will also install, operate and maintain Gogoro battery swap infrastructure, providing channels and aftermarket for the scooters it sells.

In the initial phase, pilot operations will be carried out, and the operation points will be gradually increased at a later stage. The partnership is inseparable from Singapore's earlier Green Plan 2030.

The plan focuses on strengthening sustainability and decarbonization, with targets including replacing all new cars and taxis with clean energy vehicles by 2030. The plan also states that by 2030, Singapore is expected to have 60,000 active charging points, including 40,000 public car parks and 20,000 private locations.

It is worth mentioning that this cooperation with Singapore is Gogoro's second cooperation in Southeast Asia, after the company signed an agreement with Gojek in Indonesia for related battery swap business. Based on this trend, it is not ruled out that Gogoro will win the battery swap business in most areas of the region in the future.
